Wildlife Water Drinkers

The first three photos are of a temporary water storage and drinking trough installed near Chino Valley where a usually-dependable dirt stock tank recently went dry. These items were part of the most recent Region III proposal, covering temporary tanks, troughs, water trailers and associated equipment.

The other six photos are examples of the small and large water trailers purchased with WFT funds this year and last year respectfully. Trailers like these will be stationed in Yuma, Phoenix, Prescott Valley and Flagstaff. This year we identified the need to have this type of trailer available in both Flagstaff and Tusayan (Grand Canyon), leading to a current proposal to acquire a second, "mid-size" trailer for the Flagstaff Region. This second trailer would allow coverage in both areas simultaneously, and will give the local Wildlife Managers a greater degree of flexibility to deal with emergency water needs.
